Even though the author tends to describe Xiao Si’s actions, it’s not as if Shi Jin can see it performing them; he just has a feeling that “Xiao Si did something”.
“Jun-shao!” – ‘shǎo’ [少] means ‘young master of a rich family’, but it’s rather archaic; I’m going to keep it as it is.
(Shi Jin was also called ‘young master’ [少爷, shàoyé], but it has a modern English equivalent, so I translated it directly.
In simple terms, it’s like the difference between ‘Mr.’ and ‘my lord’.)
