“Mmhmm.” Gu Xi nodded and shuffled in front of Gu Shao with her notebook in hand.

There were almost never any mistakes on Gu Xi’s homework assignments but Gu Xi still looked through them carefully after Gu Xi had handed it over to him.

After he had signed on each subject, Gu Shao returned the notebook to Gu Xi and urged, “Don’t stay up too late.”

“Okay.” Gu Xi nodded but didn’t move.

“Dad……”

“What’s the matter?” Gu Shao’s tone lightened when he saw Gu Xi obviously had something on her mind.

“It’s……” After hesitating for a little while, Gu Xi finally looked up at Gu Shao seriously and said, “I have a very serious problem to discuss with you, Dad.”
