I will come and save you no matter where you are, whether or not I know that you are my child.”

As much as Gu Xi had an idea that he was only saying that to make her feel better, she still couldn't help but felt a warmth feeling growing in her heart.

Gu Xi stopped mulling over that question.
She looked up and Gu Shao and smiled.
“Then you need to keep in mind that you must come and save me whenever I am in danger.”

Gu Shao was just about to agree with her when Gu Xi shook her head again and said, “Well, unless you too, are in danger.
Then you don’t have to come.”

“Mmm, no.” Gu Xi quickly retracted back under her blanket and said, “Night, Dad.”

Then she buried her head under the blanket.

Seeing that Gu Shao was about to leave, Gu Xi finally stuck her head out again.
She couldn’t not pay attention to what she had done to his pajama.

That was embarrassing……

He wouldn’t hit her, would he?
