After we defeated the boss Rana and I let out cries of victory and confused Hannah tried to join in.

“You guys look like you are having a lot of fun.”

Ciara sighed while Ester just smiled.
I wonder why neither of them joined in? Half the fun is the victory cry after all.

Rana and Hannah looked excited while Ciara tilted her head a little disappointed.
I on the other hand am wondering if I should correct her way of thinking so she can remember not to insult his kittyness in such a way! It is by his grace that we haven’t once gotten a wooden chest in all of this.

Ciara was hit hard by the minions and it seemed that her HP had gone down more than ever.
With all the damage that she had taken she wasn’t able to fully recover with the previous heal but thanks to her abnormal state resistance skill at the very least she wasn’t poisoned.
If she was we could have ended up with a different situation on our hands.

It’s all just another sign that the dungeons are getting more and more challenging as we go.
It doesn’t matter what equipment we are wearing, we need to be careful.

“It was kind of tough this time wasn’t it?”

“It was the first time that I got surrounded like that.
I need to practice more so that way I don’t get surprised like that again.”

While we were talking about this Hanna was staring at the silver chest as if she was about to run out of patience any moment now.

“Sorry for making you wait Hannah.
Let’s hurry up and open it!”

“Yeah, It’s my turn this time!”

I see, so that’s why she was practically drooling over the box.

“I wonder what we’re going to get from our first upper tier boss drop?”

It’s still the beginner level dungeons so the items shouldn’t be too extravagant but we could still end of with something really good.
Hannah prayed quickly before going to open the chest.
What a good girl, at least someone here knows how hard his kittyness works.

I prayed with Hannah as well hoping that she would get something good as well.
She gently opened the box and gently took out a black and purple wand.
Oh, it looks like she got some sort of witch looking equipment.
It might not seem like it would perform very well but it should be usable?

“Zephyrus, it’s a wand! What does it do?”

Wait we got that appraisal item didn’t we? Why don’t you give it a try?”

As usual Hannah tilted her head and looked up at me waiting for me to tell her.
She was so cute that I almost did so immediately but I wanted to actually use the item we got for exactly that purpose.

“Oh yeah!”

She seemed to feel the same way I did because it’s exciting to actually be able to use the new items that you got.
It should be rather easy to use as well since all you should have to do is look through the glass and it would display the information on a small screen like thing.
It would be a really useful item if I’m ever not with them for whatever reason.

“Oh I think I can see it? [Little witch’s wand]?”

Yep what Hannah had pulled out was the [little witch’s wand] it had an attack of 2 and a magical attack of 17.
It’s ability was [Dark shot level 6], it’s the same style of item as the flame rod was but since its from the upper tier dungeons its on a totally different level.

“Hmmm, Zephyrus, is this good?”

“It’s not really bad or good.
Dark attacks can be useful but its an attack that you would rarely use unless your class is a wizard or an actual magic user.”

In Dun-life there are several jobs that have access to some form of light attack but there are only a limited few who would have access to a dark attribute attack.
For instance even Ester’s Precious thrust has a light attribute to it but there is no dark thrust that goes with her class.
So in that sense I guess it is a pretty valuable item, although Hannah still has her mana light staff with an attack of 7 and a magical attack of 28.
So while the drop was good its not really comparable to what she’s using right now.

“So should we just put it in the item bag then?”

“No, what are you talking about Hannah? Wouldn’t it be better to use it?”

I guess normally we would either store it or sell it but, Hannah’s current weapon has and empty slot.
You shouldn’t hesitate if you can use dark magic.

“Once we get back we can get another ability ball made and then you can replace the one you have now and use dark magic.”
