Series of peculiar events

At the streets of Mississippi, a tall slim guy ran across the street from corner.

”Im coming mum ”. Said Mark, dressed in red polo and black pants.

”What were you doing, Laura and I were waiting for you ”. Said Miss Zano, a tall, slim woman dressed in blue pants and white top standing at the front of the lawn.

”I was talking to miss hatcher and her daughter Sarah from across the street ”.

”Okay dear, I just wanted to tell you that Im going shopping, so I want you to take care of your sister ”. She said, putting her hands on his shoulders.

”Sure Mum, Ill do that ”

”And don forget to feed the dog, Danny ”. Said Miss Zano, opening the front seat of the car. ”Ill be back soon ”.

”OK mum I love you ”.

Mark stood at the parkway staring at the car. ”Now its just me and laura ”.

He got into the house and climbed the stairs.

”Laura, where are you ”.

”In here ”. Said Laura, an average petite teen dressed in a blue gown. She leaned by the table in the laundry room.

”Mom went out for shopping, Im in my room if you need me and don do anything stupid ”.

”I hear you Mark ”. She said, shutting the door.

He went into his room and sat on his bed, he looked around the corners of the wall staring at his family frame photos, His room was messed up, drinks, junks laid over the floor, heaps of clothes packed beside the table.

”I almost forgot about feeding Danny, that dog must be starving ”. He said, standing up from the bed.

He went down stairs, walked into the kitchen, opened the kitchen cabinet and took the dog food, he took the back door leading to the backyard.

”Danny, my sweet dog I know you must be starving ”. He said, leaning down and patting his hands on the dogs head.

He opened the can and poured the food on the plate.

”Thats a good dog, eat all you want ”.

The dog barked and played with Mark.

At the age of 12, Mark lost his father In a car accident, his mum and his sister Laura were devastated, years and years passed by, at the age of 17, he graduated from high school, then recently he got an acceptance letter from the University of Portland.

”Mark, Im home ”.

”Coming mom, I was feeding the dog ”.

”is Danny sleeping ”.

”No he is not sleeping, just walking around the parkway ”.

”Oh good, so I bought lasagna, waffles, cupcakes, flours, ice cream, lettuce and other personal items ”. She said, bringing the items each from the grocery bag.

”So heres your favorite ”. She said, handing over the strawberry ice cream and pancakes to Mark.

”Yeah, thanks mum ”. He said, Smiling.

”Give the pancakes to your sister ”.

Laura ran down through the stairs.

”Mum, you are back ”. She said, hugging her.

”Yep, thats your favorite, the pancake ”. She said, pecking Lauras cheeks

”Thank you ”. Said Laura, snatching the pancakes from Mark.

”What did you do that for, I was going to give you ”.

”I don trust you with my pancakes ”. Said Laura, giggling.

”Alright kids, dinners going to be ready in 2 hours, arrange the kitchen for me Laura while I go wear my apron, I don want to stain these clothes ”.

”Sure ”. She said.

”And Mark, go and check on Danny, see if hes in the dog crib ”.

”OK mum sure ”.

At quarter past 8, Miss Zano brought the turkey from the oven, dressed it with lettuce, onions and different recipes, after she was done, she brought the knife from the upper cabinet, cut the turkey into three pieces and dished into three plates, and added lasagna to each plates.

”Dinners ready ”. She said climbing and shouting halfway through the stairs.

”We are coming mom ” they said in unison from their room.

Mark and Laura came down stairs and headed into the dinning room, they pushed the chair backwards, adjusted the table and sat down.

”lasagna and turkey, how delicious ”. Said Laura.

”Its sweet ”. Said Mark.

”It is delicious ”. Said Miss Zano.

Still on the dining table, they were eating dinner.

”So about your admission to Portland university, Im happy for you ”. Said Laura, taking the jar and glass from the table.

”Yeah, I know ”. He said.

”So when is the day of resumption ”

”like next month, on the 17th ”.

”Yeah Mark, about that admission, Ive got everything covered, don worry you are going to be okay ” Said Miss Zano, taking a glass of water.

”Yeah brother ”.

”But I don feel like going, I just feel like being with you guys here, taking a skill, do you really think dad will be happy, I mean what would he have said about it ”. He said, dropping his knife and fork on the plate, looking upset.

”Honey, I know that getting admission into the university, going to a different city, living on your own, meeting new people is always different, its hard at first but later it will be fun, youll get use to it ”.

”yeah Mark, you will be fine ”.

”Sweetheart, I know things have been tough and not the same since dad died, but believe me you will be fine OK ”. She said, patting Mark at his back. ”This is what your dad would have wanted, going to the university, getting a degree and other achievements, if he were here, he would be happy for you ”. She said, smiling. ”Now eat up honey, your food is getting cold ”. She said, looking at the both of them.

”OK mum ”, said Mark smiling.

”Don worry brother, youll be fine, Ill make sure that I and mum always call you on phone ”.

”Yeah sweetheart, Portland is a very nice city with interesting places, Im sure youll love the city, youll meet new people, new friends, don worry you will be fine ”.

”Alright I hear you ”.

”So eat up, so that I can do the dishes, Im getting up to work early tomorrow ”.

”Sure Mum ”, they said in unison.

”Found it and this time no mistakes, Im talking to you Satan ”. He said, holding the book. ”Yeah, so where is it, that page that talks about getting what you want from baphomet ”, he said, going through each pages.

He said, straining his eyes towards the page.

He walked towards his table, shoved his hands down and opened the drawer, he brought out a white chalk and knife, he closed the drawer and went back to where he was standing.

”So what was the instructions again ”. He said, carrying the book, going through it, searching for the page. ”Got it, let me draw the circle with the chalk ”.

He walked to the center of the library, brought out the white chalk and bent down, one by one, he drew the pentagon, after that, he got the knife, cut his left hand and let out a hiss, his blood spilled around the pentagon, then he held the book, chanting the archaic verses.

The floor shook like there was a mini volcano eruption, sounds of thunder, eerie movements, strange noises were looming across the room, suddenly an unearthly figure appeared in front of him.

”I am azezel, why have thou summoned me from my place ”. Said the figure with an eerie voice.

”I need something from you ”.

”What is it earthling, speak ”.

its my game, Im about to show it to the world, I need popularity and fame, the first one I did was a mess, I failed but with your help, I will succeed this time ”.

”Very well, I will give you what your heart desire, I will make your game popular and famous ”.

The figure disappeared and the atmosphere was calm once again.
