Chapter 1604 They Who Guard The Nation

After Li Jinnian finished giving out orders, he turned to the side to look at Ye Jian, who was on vigil.

Ye Jian, who wanted to speak her thoughts, understood what he meant instantly because that’s what she was thinking about.

They suspected there weren’t any hostage targets left in this area; there’s a possibility they were outside.

The reason behind this conclusion was very simple; one was to drag out time as long as they could, the second was that the leaders in the command center needed to see whether or not Li Jinnian could discover the abnormality in the situation and immediately make the right decisions.

This time, the command center couldn’t observe their real-time combat situation; they could only observe the fluctuation in the data; that’s why, through the duration used by the two teams, the command center could have a general idea of how well this team was doing.

When they had managed to hit their last effective shooting point, the command center immediately knew the Elite Platoon had completed their ‘hostage target’ shooting exercise, managed to rescue all of the ‘targets,’ with no ‘targets’ being accidentally shot.

“Group B had completed all of their hostage target shooting.” Every member of the Elite Platoon could hear the Ground Force’s Major General’s voice from their earpiece, “Time is taken, twenty-two minutes, completing this event eight minutes ahead of time.”

The Elite Platoon only knew they had completed, but they didn’t know whether or not the Storm Commandos had completed theirs.

They walked over to the already assembled regional army who had cooperated for this competition.
With Xia Jinyuan’s command “Salute,” all of the Elite Platoon members saluted at the soldiers who had coordinated with them unconditionally, to express the gratitude in their hearts.

“Well done, thank you.”

“Good job, thank you.”

Under Xia Jinyuan’s lead, every member of the Elite Platoon started shaking hands with the regional army soldiers and thanked them.

Taking off the gloves, the wide and thick hands with calluses gripped with another hand that was similarly callused, a ‘Thank you,’ and a smile, there weren’t feelings of strangeness nor sense of distance, because they were all wearing the same army uniform, they were soldiers who guarded the same country together!

After shaking each hand, Xia Jinyuan gathered his team, and the twenty-two members of the Elite Platoon walked with stride and started marching towards another mission area.

The regional soldiers were led by the platoon commander as they stood upright, raising their hands to salute, and watched this unit of elite special forces as they left.

It was still drizzling; the twenty-two figures with back as straight as poplar trees were filled with humanity and dauntlessness that made even the soldiers respect, as they marched towards the depths of the mountain, step by step.
